Most survivors look fine on the outside, and many are unaware of what's happening on the inside. It takes a lof for a person to accept they need additional help or resources. Here is a list of resources you can contact for yourself or your loved one.

  1. Brain Injury Association of America. https://biausa.org You can find what support there is in your state on their website.

  2. Trauma Survivors Network. https://www.traumasurvivorsnetwork.org. They have Zoom meetings with survivors, which I have done. They can also connect with their local trauma center where they work.

  3. Hyperbaric or HBOT treatment helped me, but this may be difficult for some; it was only partially covered by insurance, but it did help with some of my symptoms.

  4. I encourage you to seek out mental health services to speak with someone. I also advise doing research and making sure that the therapist specializes in trauma, specifically your type, to help you in the best way possible.
